What is Model UN?
Model UN is an academic simulation of the United Nations where student act as representatives of countries and participate in a simulated session of an Intergovernmental Organization (IGO). Model UN aims to educate participants about civics, current events, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy.
Do I need MUN experience?
YMUN China attracts delegates from all levels of experience. Although some of our delegates have several years of MUN experience, YMUN China also welcomes beginners and novices. The size of our conference affords beginners more individualized attention from each chair, and our choice of date allows delegates to get additional MUN experience before the start of the new academic year.
What format will YMUN China be using?

What does my registration fee cover?
The YMUNC 2017 registration fee covers your participation in the conference as well as transportation to and from the hotel. The fee also covers dinner on the 17th August, all three meals on the 18th and the 19th as well as breakfast and lunch on the 20th.

How do you apply to be an AD?
In order to send in an application for an AD you must first register as a delegate and then submit an application for an AD position. If you are selected, you will be interviewed by your director, and will be formally notified by April 1st, 2016. More information is available by clicking here.
Will there be a dress code at YMUNC?
YMUNC has a required dress code and for all committee sessions. Delegates are requested to wear western formal attire.
Can you give financial support to participants?
YMUN China does offer financial aid for students. If you would like to be considered for financial aid, please fill out the application for financial aid before the deadline.
Can YMUN China issue me a visa invitation letter?
Yes. Once your registration is complete, please email email@example.com with your request, including your name as it appears on your passport, gender, date of birth (with the name of the month written out in word form), country of citizenship, passport number, passport date of issue, and passport date of expiration. Please note that your passport must have at least 6 month's validity from the date of application. Citizens of the following countries may enter China without a visa: Singapore, Japan, Brunei, San Marino, Seychelles, Bahamas, Fiji, Mauritius, and Grenada.
What are the age requirements?
YMUN China is primarily designated for high school students. We also welcome exceptional and well-behaved middle school students, as well as recent high school graduates who have not yet begun their studies at a college or university.
May delegates use a language other than English during committee debates?
No, the official language of YMUN China is English.
